Mushies tomorrow!!
I'm in class right now but can't concentrate on the lecture because all I can think about is mushies tomorrow!!! Woo-hoo!! Of course I am also a little scared of eating but I'm sure I will get over that. I have to eat lunch at charlestons but will see if they are having a soup that could be strained for broth. I'm planning on having a few tiny bites with long pauses in between of 2% american cheese. Hopefully that is a safe food!

Yeah, Amy....it's finally here!!! Now you are really going to see how little you can eat and you will be amazed! I have been to Charlestons many times, but I always order some sort of salad with chicken or shrimp (I used to order pasta with shrimp...but those days are gone!!!) Not sure what they have as far as mushie...but they do have a varierty of soups. Eat very very slow, and very small bites.....welcome back to the land of the eating!!! - Anna
I looked at their menu and one of the side items available is garlic mashed potatoes. You might be able to eat those (are they on the WW mushies menu?). I know the ones at IHOP are instant and I was told I could eat instant mashed potatoes during the mushies phase here in Tulsa so that was my meal many many times.
I have never eaten at a Charleston's before but I looked at their menu for you... Maybe the beans side dish would be ok? They have a gumbo on Weds... that should have a good flavor for you? Not sure what is allowed with y'all. I saw that you can't have mashed potatoes and those were my best friend when I was in the mush stage. Good luck with the mushies, girl~ They'll beat the heck out of the liquids anyday!

No gumbo!.. too spicy this early on, I would think. Soup is considered a slider food...goes through us too quickly to leave good nutrition behind. That being said, you could try mushing some up..just be careful of floating grease on a lot of soups in restaurants.
FF refried beans, canned chicken or tuna, scrambled egg, cottage cheese, cheese. 2nd mushy week, eggs any style! I loved my boiled eggs.. still do!
It's hard to know what full feels like at first. It's a new kind of full, but trust me when I say you'll recognize too full.
Chew, chew, chew until it's mush in your mouth. Sip slowly and wait an hour after you eat. Probably 2-3 bites will satisfy you in the beginning. I couldn't eat a whole serving spoon (slightly bigger than tablespoon) of refried beans in the beginning. My DH melted cheese on top and gave me a spoonful of those.
