Congrats on your NSV!  I have to say, that's be more like a non sleeve HORROR for me; not a fan of mowing the yard.  Thanks goodness DH does all that around here.    But I totally get that it's an awesome feeling to be ABLE to do it again.  I know exactly where you're coming from.

Anyway, all kidding aside - CONGRATS!!!

For those of us with RA the sleeve is really the surgery of choice.  I am sure I could have talked someone into the RNY but I am glad I didn't have to go that direction.  I have been back on my NSAIDS since the day I was allowed to at 2 weeks.  I don't know if I could have handled being off my NSAIDS forever.  I am not that tough.

Have her PM me or you can give her my phone number.

Woohhooo.  I love mowing and weedeating.  We have 2 1/2 acres also and I love to mow about half of it and the other half is really rough so I let my son mow it.  I did, however, buy myself a really cool gas weedeater a few years ago with a heavy duty line and I finally got to use it this year.  I was sick for a couple of years and didn't get to break it in.  I swear I love yard tools more than my hubby.  The weekeater wears me out something fierce, but hopefully when I get some of this weight off, I will be able to weedeat to my hearts content.

My advice to you is buy an easy to use Stihl weedeater.  They are so worth the money!!

Congrats again to your hard work!

If you're looking for grass to mow, come on over to my house! I only have a lawn man when our mower is on the fritz.

I have a lawn stud..It's called DH!

Our grass has gotten away from him since we've been wating on a lawnmower belt to replace the one our DS broke on my mom's lawn in Western OK. That's the lawn that needs the tractor and brusheater behind it.

Also, while you're at our house mowing our 1.5 acres (you can do the front yard with a pushmower), Johnny can teach you Weedeating 101...or DS could. He'd LOVE to get out of weedeating duty!

We made the agreement when we got married that the lawn's DH's domain. HIs dad has a mowing sevice, and Johnny's been mowing since he was 6. I agreed to plant only flowers he can mow off (perennials).

I like Denise's idea and volunteer my yard, too !  I do have a hot lawn guy -- no DH -- but if you're just dying to do some mowing I guess I could LET YOU do it !!!   JK !!!  I'm glad you have that accomplishment !  I'm sure it felt great !!!!
