Odds & Ends. This & That. Okay, so I am rambling.
So today was weigh day. I have been a little upset because I have only been losing 2lbs a week. I have been a little on the discouraged side but not enough to cheat. So I am happy to say that I lost 4.4 lbs this week. I am even closer to losing the 100 lbs I need to lose before surgery. I need to quit saying a 100 lbs because now, I only have to lost 53lbs. It is hard to believe that I only started on this journey the 15th of May. In the past I have always struggled with sticking to a diet. While it has not been completly easy. I have had more success this go around. I think its because of you guys and because my eye is on the prize. You know..
I am very nervous about the end of this week though. My family and I will be leaving for Branson on Wednesday and we will be staying through Monday. I have been on the diet through a major holiday but not through a vacation. I know there will be plenty of opportunites for me to slip up.
I made a mini goal this summer and I don't think that I will accompli**** I wanted to be down to the next weight level and I am 19lbs away. 19 stinking lbs stands in the way of me making my silly goal. Ugh. O'well. I will just have to reset my goal.
I made it through 2 holidays, 2 birthdays, and a wedding before my surgery day. If I can do it, you can too! Just keep your eye on the big picture and it will get you through the hurdles. I just kept telling myself that the end was worth much more than the food in front of me. When we ate out, which we did a lot of with family in from out of town, I always picked the places to eat and chose ones I knew I could fit into my pre-op diet the easiest. YOU CAN DO IT!

You can do it, gorgeous! You've come too far to slip up now. You are worth it. Say it out loud. Besides, the summer isn't over yet! You still have time to make goal. If for some strange reason you don't, don't give up and binge.
I survived National Board Certification pre-registration for the scholarship and went to Durant, OK while on my diet and stayed a weekend. I also survived the first entry of National Board while on the diet AND the death of my mother in a small town.Which, if you know small town Oklahoma, you know how these people feed you in your time of loss...fantastic food at the American Legion Hut in town.
All I'm saying is, hang in there. No food tastes as good as you're getting ready to feel.
Wow...53 pounds lost in such a short time. You are doing awesome. I kow some who haven't lost that much after a procedure. As I've said before, just keep your eye on the prize. You are so worth it. You're truly a beautiful lady and I'm sure so inside just a beautiful as the outside. This will absolutely change your life, give you back your life as well as health. You'll have so much more energy to work with your children too!!! You CAN do this....
You are doing wonderfully!!! You can do Branson without cheating! IUn my family the one with the dietary issues picks the restaurant! Even if you end up at McDonalds they make wonderful salads! I was pleasantly surprised! Subway also does good salads. Almost every restaurant has a healthy choice anymore. If you don't see what you need on the menu ASK!!! Every kitchen has a chicken breast they can fix in a healthy way. Take the family to a snow cone stand- almost all of them have a sugar free choice- yummy!! That is a nice healthy alternative to ice cream. Work out at the gym in the hotel or go swimming each morning. You can do this!
