Yep, policecat and I were the same way.  She was going to mushies as I was going into liquids.  It helps having someone ahead of you reporting what is going on.

Okay, for the first stage mushies, I LOVED scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese (LF of course).  Cottage cheese was good.  Refried beans - I went to Taco Bell several times and got them with extra red sauce (don't know if I would recommend the sauce though, maybe it would not sit well with your tummy).  When I went to 2nd stage mushies, the BEST was the deli meat.  I spread roasted red pepper hummus on the slice and rolled it up.  I thought I had died and gone to food porn heaven.  Tuna with mayo and chicken with mayo were good too.  Laughing cow cheese was good too.

Amy, I pretty much ate the same ole things. Eggs, beans cheese, Eggs beans cheese. Don't be scared, just go really slow. You will find what worked one day might not work the next for some strange reason. I think it's all about how big the bites are that you take, how well you chew them up and if you took one too many. It is all trial and error. If you don't do well with something don't be afraid to try it again at a later date. There were days that I threw up 3x a day. I really think it is because I didn't wait long enough between bites or ate one bite too many. It is so hard to slow down because you are so excited to be able to be eating again and we are just not used to taking it slow because it taste so good. If you throw up it's okay. I know it is not the fun thing to do, but remember you won't hurt anything inside. I think most people worry about that. Dr. Walton always says you can't mess up the insides unless you eat something that you are not suppossed to be eating. That is why it is so important early out to FOLLOW FOLLOW FOLLOW the diet sheet and stages. I promise you will do fine. Just remember to take it slow and listen to your new tummy. He is in charge. I always say HE because it has to be a guy, because it is so darn stubborn. However stubborn is good in this case, because if he wasn't so stubborn we wouldn't succeed. Best of luck and congratulations , you are almost there. Rita

I don't know, I was thinking it must be a girl....a spoiled princess for sure.  She wants what she wants or throws a fit! LOL!  I am just so scared of throwing up.  I really don't want to do that.  I can handle huge amounts of pain but am a big baby when it comes to feeling nausous (sp?).

I was also one of those who got sick on scrambled eggs.  I now eat one or part of one most mornings.  I have found if I hadd some picante sauce and a little cheese and not make them so dry it helps so much.  I LOVE the added flavor of the picante sauce too but you will need to wait a little while for that.....

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

There it is again... Wail. Wait. Wait.  Ugh!  LOL!  I like the tip about putting cottage cheese in the eggs to keep them moist and soft.  You might give that a shot if you haven't already.

Fat free refried beans and cheese. The first week's scrambled egg didn't really do it for me. The second week's boiled egg made me happy. I opened a tuna can happily and about hurled, so I tossed it. Canned chicken with a smidgen of mustard worked as I'm not a mayo fan.

My recipe that I posted for Fiesta Beans would work, I think.

1 can ff refried beans

1 can Ranch Style beans drained

1/2 c salsa (I used picante)

1/2 c cheese

Combine all together and stir until smooth over low-medium heat in a non-stick pan. Throw lots of cheese on top and bake at 350 until cheese is melted. To make a 9x13 pan, double the recipe.

I copy and pasted this when I saw it before and saved it on my computer!  I have to wait until week 2 of mushies for it but I can't wait.  I don't even like beans and it sounds wonderful!  I bet I like beans after this week though! LOL!  Thanks Cat
