<--- me with hot flashes

OK, you guys are excused from Happycat duty.

I think I figured out both my emotional state (weepy creepies and really sweaty) and weight loss stall.  I have begun having 30+ hot flashes each day.  A couple of days ago I started crying- totally not my personality!  And, I have been stalled for 5 of the 7 weeks I have been sleeved.  I have decided through some research that in all probability all of those symptoms are related to an obvious hormone imbalance.  I have an appointment with a doctor Dr. Walton referred me to at the end of the month.  I am going to call on Monday morning and see if they can work me in sooner.  Hopefully we can get this all sorted out soon!  I cannot imagine going into a hot school building, hot flashing, crying, and spending the day with 14 year old boys!  Sound like hell on Earth to me!

Oh Denise, I am so sorry but at least you know what the heck is going on with your body.  You won't be stalled forever, it is scientifically impossible.  It will move.  And I bet the dr. can do something to help with your hot flashes and hormone surges.

I certainly hope so!  I haven't been so miserable since right after my hysterectomy 21 years ago.  They tried to keep me off estrogen for a while but it wasn't possible even back then.  I hope this woman is a hormone expert!  I want to be skinny and cool not fat and sweaty!  It is definitely not my best look!

Denise - I sure hope this is the answer for you and I bet it is....hormones that are out whack can really mess things up. I know you are doing everything right, and this weight has to come off, even if slowly, but it to come off. I know it's hard, but please try not to get too discouraged and I pray that this doctor will  have the solution for you...(((((((Hugs))))))) - Anna

Oh Happycat!

From what was explained to me, estrogen is stored in fat cells.  As we lose weight rather quickly, we get a phenominal release of estrogen into our system, causing a major imbalance.  Personally, I was so flooded it seemed that I am surprised I didn't go all girlie and grow additional breasts on my forehead.

I don't have any solutions for you, but I do wish you a quick release from your situation and that your new MD has an answer and a remedy.  In the meantime, embrace your hotness, and consider them a power surge from your electric personality!

Oh, I am power surging all right!  I think I could solve our energy crisis- single handed if they could only harness my power surges!

Bless your heart. I couldn't stay in a room full of 14 year old boys on a good day. I so admire you for being able to do that. If you need anything while Kim is gone give  me a shout.

I was SO thinking the same thing! My daughter is special needs and she wears me out and I could not imagine a room full of her and then make it boys! I hope everything gets straightened out soon. My daughter's special ed teacher is a godsend so I know you need to be at your best for those kids.

Bless your heart. That sounds simply horrible --- 30 a day!!! I'm praying for you and I surely hope the specialist can help get you feeling better fast.

I promise, you will lose your weight. It is simply impossible to eat fewer calories than your body burns and keep the weight on. It will let go!

Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

Denise, call them monday morning and scream if you need to.  I don't have any premarin but I have some estradiol (synthetic premarin) if you need a couple to tide you over, PM me and I'll bring you some.  I'm not advocating trading drugs, but I'm willing to help a sista out cause I've been there and it's the pits.

I also have the herbalife version of plant estrogen-but that never did it for me.  You are welcome to it if you want to try.
