I am home, sleeved, and ready to begin my new life
I was sleeved Wednesday, July 9 at Weight Wise in Edmond, Oklahoma. I cannot say enough good things about my procedure, the doctor, the nurses, the facility. I felt 100% of the time to be in the greatest hands. I was released from the hospital about 1pm on Thursday. We shopped all day Friday and went to a movie Friday night. One last look by Dr. Walton this morning and we began our drive back to the Dallas area. Anybody on the fence about getting this procedure, get off the fence. It's wonderful. - Carol.
Rita, thank YOU for everything. I am still sucking on the breathing thing. Want to keep my lungs clear for sure. Weight Wise and Foundation Bariactric Hospital is the best. I have had several surgeries in my adult life, and at some of the best hospitals around. Baylor Dallas, Presbyterian, and Hermann in Houston. They do not compare to the loving care I received in Edmond. Please pass this along for me. I will be back in 4 weeks for a check up and hopefully I can get a chance to see you then. - Carol.
I'm home now and resting awhile so I can walk this evening. Seems there are so many things I want to do, but I know I'm tired. I want to read, but I know I should rest first. DH is not home right now and house is very quiet so I should take advantage and rest. I think I'm just really surprised that I feel as good as I do. I did get to sleep a bit on the way home. I know my daughter is drained. She took me and stayed with me and she lives 30 minutes away so she still had a drive. AND, she is only 5 weeks out herself! This is so great. We can support each other, we know what the other is supposed to be doing and neither of us can get away with saying "oh, it's OK if I do this or that." Leslie and I both commented all week about how nice Edmond is. What a nice little town. I think the mall we went to was in OK City, Quail Springs? - Carol
