Tulsa Area Support Group

Hi Everyone,

  I live in the Tulsa area, had surgery about a month ago, and am looking for a local support group. I would appreciate any information you could give me. Thanks.

I think Dr. Gorospe's support group would be perfect for you.  It meets once a month in Owasso at Bailey's Medical center.  Our next meeting is this Monday July 14th at 6:30pm. Send me a message if you would like more information.  We also have a Meet, Greet, and Eat once a month where people from the tulsa arae on OH get together.  We are meeting the 16th of this month at Applebee's on 71st in Tulsa at 6:30pm.  We would love to have you join our little group.

Isn't the support group only for his patients?  Also I would love to got the meeting on the 16th, but I have class.  Thanks for responding.

Welcome Rose...I think I talked to you a long time ago if I remember right (the name sure rings a bell.  Would love to see you at Dr.Gorospe's Greatefuls group meeting this coming Monday.

Thanks Wolf, I spent some time on this board a few months ago when I was researching surgeries and surgeons.  I am more of a lurker then a poster, but I have stopped by a few times since.

Yeah I thought I remembered ya hehe (and that cute kitty)....His support group meetings are for anyone who has been down this road and this journey.  i know of a few folks who go who had surgery with other doctors, his doors are always open to anyone.  Support groups are support groups no matter where you had surgery.

Thanks, when my Monday/Wednesday night class ends in a few weeks I will check it out.  How often do they meet?

 

Dr Gorospe's group meets on the second Monday of each month.  Tulsa area folks get together for our Mett Greet and Eat once a month on a Wednesday.  This month it got pushed up a week just so that Thomas aka CowboyOnFire could come before he went back to the inslands.

oh yeah I forgot we were going to the one at 41st and Garnett.  I am so use to meeting somewhere on 71st. Thanks for reminding me.
