According to the sleep clinic I don't have apnea and will NOT need a cpap. That is very good news because my mom and sister both have one. Niether one of them use it on a very reg basis. I don't think I could sleep with something covering my mouth and nose.  BUT....the biggest thing is that all of my reqirements and hurdles are done...fin.. NOW I think I am starting to belive it could really happen and I can't decide if I am freakin out or thrilled.....aaahhhh i am going to go with freakin out for right now.

Great news! I'm glad you don't have to deal with sleep apnea. You're going to do great.        : )

Freaking out, eh?  Congratulations!  You are normal! Good news on the apnea.  I was diagnosed with mild apnea and while I am completely compliant, I'm not a fan.  Like having a snake attached to your face while you sleep!  But I do feel better! You go girl!  Keep on jumping those hurdles!

Yeah, you don't have to join the fighter pilot's club (that's what we call it in our family!)  I don't mind my CPAP but most do.  I do hope to get off of it but I am in no rush. You are supposed to be freaking out.  I had some mini meltdowns up until the last week and then I was just calm.  I knew I had made an informed decision that was best for me.  You have chosen a wonderful surgeon.  You will be in good hands! Denise

That's fantastic! So happy for you. I had to have one but was able to toss it away in December. Well, not toss it..DH uses it as his extra one. I didn't have apnea..I breathed too shallowly or some such nonsense.

That is great news!!  I know exactly what you mean about whether to freak out or be excited.  That is normal!  Before you know it you will be sleeved and on this wonderful ride!  I can't wait for you to join the losers bench.

Yeah!!!!  Congrats on both your CPAP-less-ness and your upcoming surgery!  I only had to wear one for about a week (did sleep study, got the blasted thang, had surgery, bye bye cpap..weird), and I couldn't stand it! I never got over the urge to say every night to the DH  (in best Darth Vader-ish voice)  "Luuuuuke...I am your moooother"  lol
