Hello all! I am from Texas, but I will be moving to Oklahoma City to attend Oklahoma City University School of Law. I am trying to find an apartment in a good/ safe area that is not too far from the school. Can anyone help me out with this. Where is the bad side of town??  Does anyone know of any good apartments that would not be too far from the university?? Please help!!!

Some of our restaurants have apartment guides you can pick up.  They are very helpful.  I would have to hear the address to know if it is a safe area.  PM me if you want my phone #.  Also, the university might have some suggestions. Denise

I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

Sonya, Welcome, and from an OCU Alum - congratulations on coming to the Law School.  I attended undergrad at OCU (a LONG time ago), but several of my friends were in the law school then and since. The closest apartments that I would suggest are at 30th & Villa - just  about a mile or so from campus.  I think they're still called Copperfield - not sure.  Also, be advised, my last actual experience with them was over 15 years ago - I guess things might have changed... There are some nice, new apartments/lofts in the downtown area.  Sorry I don't know the names of those.   That would be more like 5-7 miles from campus. Further out, there are lots of apartments north towards 122nd street that would be 10-12 miles from campus, but not a bad commute depending on the time of day you have to get there. Good luck with your move! John

Well, the good thing is that you are never very far from anywhere in the OKC area.....It is basically a 20 min rule around here.....It takes about 20 min to get anywhere.  The 30th and Villa area used to be a decent area, but I would be a little iffy on that now days. It seems that that area has gotten more and more dangerous. I don't know what your budget is, so that to will make a difference also. When will you be moving up this way?   Sherry

Welcome!  I just moved back to OKC from Texas.

I'm sure you'll be able to find what you are looking for, Universities seem to attract decent and well priced housing.
