Latest Wow moment
I forgot to put this in the post about getting back from Enid.
I feel so blessed by having had this surgery. As you all know, there are many Wow moments over the course of our journeys. One of the reasons I had this surgery was to save my life and feel better because I was tired of feeling old and broken down. Then again, some might think 45 IS old! LOL
Anyway, Enid's Meadowlake Park has a train run by the Kiwanis organization during the summer months and is always running the evening of the 4th of July. DH's family always goes to the park to grill and to watch the fireworks (this year with 3d glasses provided by KOFM).
Getting in and out of that train has always been very hard for me, and I always felt squished in my seat. The seats accommodate 2 adults or 3 little kids. I would have to put my arm around DH just to fit in the seat. Getting out was hard too..he would have to take my hand while I held on and crawled out, huffing and puffing. Then, walking back to the grilling area was huffing and puffing going up hill.
Now the Wow moment: I could get in and out of that train all by myself and fit so well that DH put his arm around ME and pulled me closer to him. No huffing and puffing walking up the hill or getting out of the train..I won't tell you what happened when we went through the tunnel !
Anyway, I was out of the train before I'd realized what I'd done. OH, and DH bought himself a funnel cake complete with powdered sugar AND chocolate syrup..I told him, "Yummmm....grease, sugar and chocolate...what a combo!" LOL He ate part, but not all of it!!!
Anyway, I share this not to brag or boast but to share a mini Wow moment with all of you...and walking group..I credit you all with my not huffing and puffing on the hike back to the grill site!!
Oh yeah..forgot to mention...I got a new driver's license pic done and the weight is RIGHT for the FIRST time in my life! LOL
All the "little" things are really great big things to us. I was thinking about my drivers license yesterday. First noticing how round my face looks in the pic and second wondering WTH I was thinking when I put that weight on there. Surely the girls doing my license laughed knowing it was obviously way off. Looking forward to getting it right like you have. Congratulations!!!!
Cindy
Thanks, Cindy! I kind of miss the old one since I had to whip it out to show people that I'm still the same person. The lady in the Honda shop (looking for a new touring bike) accused my husband of getting rid of me! I had to show both her AND a lady at church my driver's license so they'd remember who I was!
