today i have been feeling a little bad and light headed so my husband checked my blood pressure and it is way down. i started taking my high blood pressure pills again last week because i felt that it was a little elevated and now it is too low. i'm not gonna take it tomorrow and see how that makes me feel. hopefully this will be the time for me to quit them!

I took myself off at about 6 days post-op because it was too low.  I wa****ting about 95/46 with a pulse in the 40's!!!  No wonder I was light headed and dizzy!  I fessed up to Dr Walton and he was O with it.. My pressure has remained perfect ever since- except for one day I was a little dehyrdated and it bounced up a bit.  Keep monitoring it.  If your BP cuff doesn't have a memory then write down the readings with the dates and times. I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

Be sure to check your BP *before* taking your BP medicine. If your BP is normal, call your PCP and hold off on further BP medication until he tells you what to do. I stopped all my BP medicine about 3+ weeks out and my PCP was informed throughout the process. It's been normal since that time.
Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

They put me on half of my dose when I left the hospital and then 6 days later I took myself of***** light-headed when I got up so I checked my pressure and it was too low.  Whoooppppeeee!!  So fabulous to be off those meds!

Hey Girl, I haven't taken a B/P pill since I left the hospital. Call Dr. Walton and let him know what your B/P has been running and he will advise you on what to do. If possible you may need to half the dose or stop all together, Either way, give him a  call and congratulations. That's a money saver. Rita
