I am home
I got home about 4 pm. I am sore, but not really pain. Still having those darn esophageal spasms though which makes it hard to drink. I have to take VERY tiny sips, almost drops, but even then get pain and gurgling in my esophagus. My husband just went to pick up my Lortab so hopefully that will help like the dilaudid did. My blood pressure was high all through the night too but it was back to normal this morning. Both Jess and Dr Walton said the spasms would get better with time. I am off the rest of the week and plan to go back to work on Monday.
Congrats on being home!!! : )
You might consider asking your surgeon if you could try a straw. *Don't do it if they say not to* ... but when I tried regular sipping or drinking, I swallowed air every time no matter how hard I treid not to do so. I tried straws and it was much easier and swallowing was fine. However, I got my surgeon's approval before doing the straw drinking. I don't know why regular sipping or drinking involves so much air for me, but using a straw fixed my issues.
ONEDERLAND!!!! FINALLY!!!! WHOOOO HOOOOO!
