Just wanted to let everyone know that Karla is doing alot better. I talked to her a little bit ago and it was a stricture. She came threw fine and they are giving her a couple bags of fluid and then she will be on her way home. She sounded alot better today. Keep her in your prayers.

I talked with her too and she sounded relieved and much better. She also mentioned she had a small ulcer, as well as the stricture. She said she'd be posting as soon as she gets back home. Hooray for Karla being on her way home and fixed! : )

Karla also told me that she had not tried to contact the doctor's over the weekend. She thought she could just wait until Monday to make the call since the nausea medicine was not helping. (She had just called the office last Tuesday and somehow her message never made it through. On Thursday she got a prescription for nausea medication that she had requested. She hoped that would take care of everything.) Dr. Nelson told her to call immediately next time and to not wait at all. She's also communitcating with Karla's PCP with specific instructions if Karla needs anything quickly at home... she's about 3 hrs. away from Norman.

Karla was given IV fluids and had one more bag to finish off before she could head home. I'm so excited she's doing better and is on the mend.

Welcome back home, Karla! I am happy they figured out why you felt so horrible. You should do much better with your stricture handled and once you get your ulcer healed. Poor tummy! You will feel like a new woman with your fluid levels back up near normal! Denise

Yea! I'm so glad she's feeling better. It's scary when you feel awful and don't know what's wrong. I'm glad they were able to find the problem and fix it!
