I know!! I was thinking about you guys last night while I was sitting here in the cold a/c in my house !!!- it's freezing in here!! I should have let it stay broken  - I stayed home today, because my stomach this morning was unusually grouchy and was so upset...don't even know why! I didn't offend it in any way! It took the whole morning to settle down!

I went in the hospital ... I think it was a prerequisite to going home. ; ) I was given a Dulcolax suppository Wed. evening after surg on Tues AM. There wasn't much of anything to move ... but move it did!

Miralax always works the next day for me and isn't harsh at all, nor addictive.

We have strict guidelines in our notebook ... we have to go every 2 days or do something about it ... or call the office. However, when I was on liquids only ... I had diarrhea like crazy! I didn't need any help ... I needed raw hiney treatment. : 0

Amy, you know we do poop, vomit, spitting, and barfing questions!  Everything we knew about our bodies up to this point went out the window during surgery!  This group can't be embarassed- well at least I can't!  Remember I spend my days with teenage boys!  Oh, forgot we do farting and belching questions too!  See just typing the word boys made me think of belching at farting! I would call the nurses station at WW and see what they think.  By your point post-op I had begun with diarrhea that lasted until mushies. PM me or call me if you need the number. Denise
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

Hi Amy, Girl - I feel your pain.  I had the same thing when I was newly post op.  I didn't go for almost a week so I called my surgeon's office.  They told me to take Milk of Magnesia.  (sp?)  Anyway, that did the trick really well!!!    I was like the Energizer Bunny - just kept going and going and ..... well, you get the idea. Don't know how much this helps, but it took me 4 days before I did.  It was pretty normal though.  AFTER that one, while on the liquids, it was all diarrhea, but once I started mushies, I've been pretty darn normal ever since.  (but never as FREQUENT as before - now it's every other day or so).  Robyn

I'm 9 days out, and like you worried about not going.  I had surgery on Monday and didn't go until Wednesday, it was liquid.  then I didn't go again till Saturday and it WASN'T... so I took stool softners 2 times a day.  Now I've gone for the last three days, it still isn't liquid but it's coming out easier.  And I'm sure this will be TMI... but it's like new baby poo... takes a lot of wiping to get it off...thank goodness for wet wipes.
