New Stuff

So, for the past 2 months, my grandma has wanted to take me shopping for new clothes. It bugs her so much that all my clothes are baggy lol. I have told her time and again that I want to wait until I get down closer to goal before I buy any new clothes. So yesterday, she goes shopping while I was at the movie with the girls here. I get home to find out that she went to macy's, and got me a whole bag of clothes. GRRRRR. Granted, I like having new clothes, but I think it's just a waste of money to spend more than $2 on something that I'm not going to be able to wear in a few months. But the awesome thing is that she was shopping in the misses section, and she got all larges, tops and bottoms. She has finally figured out that I am not going to wear anything structured until I lose all my weight, so she got me a couple pair of shorts and capris that were all cotton, and a couple of really cute shirts. Finally one with long sleeves lol. Apparently when I wasn't thinking one day I was bragging about how my underwear don't fit anymore, and she took that as permission to take me shopping for new undies! Now that's something I will be buying new as I go. Thank God Victoria's Secret was having a sale, because I have gone down two whole sizes. I am now in a 6!!!! I started out in an 8!!! I just thought I would share my lovely news lol.

Congratulations, girlie! Don't you love having to buy new undies? I know that sounds stupid, but one of my most exciting moments (so far) has been having to buy new undies!!! I just love it! :) You deserve the new clothes, chick. I know it seems like a waste...I don't like to buy them either. But...when you have nothing to wear...you gotta do something! lol Let your grandma spoil you a bit. I'm sure she's just excited for your new life!!! HUGS! Liz

What a sweet Grandma!  Let her spoil you.  That's what Grannys are for!   I know what you mean about underwear!  I was so excited when I needed new panties!  I even ponied up the money to buy some that weren't 6 pairs in a plastic bag!!  I bought some that you actually had to pick out on hangars!  That is the first time in my life that I have ever done that.  I am not sure I will ever have the courage to walk into a Victoria's Secret!  Someone may have to drag me in there in another 20 pounds or so. I had a funny shopping thing happen the other day.  A lady asked me which shirt I thought looked better on her, I said the blue one because it was more structured and form fitting and really showed off what she had...she got kind of quiet and I realized I was standing there in baggy shorts and a T-shirt-so I laughed and said "do as I say, not as I do...."

Uh huh! I like the ones I got, they are cute lol.  That and the clothes I got were on clearance, I don't think they will take them back lol.

Speaking as a Grammy my own self, try to remember that we not only love our grandkids, it makes us so happy to spoil them!  The saddest I have ever been is when I was too broke to pick up things I knew my gkids would love to surprise them.  Take them, be grateful, and believe  me, it will make your grandmother happier than you are when she sees you wear them.  It will be like your present to her.
