I know - everyone is saying - what about the 4th of July!!  Well, today is my 2nd SURGIVERSARY of my RnY and I just wanted to celebrate with those of you who have helped me so much to achieve my goals!!!  I think of today as my PERSONAL INDEPENDENCE DAY from all of that fat that held me captive for so very long!! Without my friends here at OH and the OK Forum - I would not be in the position I am currently in.  I am only 11-15 lbs from a "normal" BMI - even I never get there, I am SO much more of a better person that I ever was before WLS.   I know you guys have told me that you appreciate everything I do here and within the WW support groups - but you have NO idea the joy and love that I get in return that makes me want to do more and more for each of you every day!  I get so much more from you than I could ever hope to give each of you!   I just wanted to tell YOU - THANK YOU!  You are all as important to my success as my beautiful surgeons at WW!  I look forward to many more anniversaries with each and every one of you!! All my love to everyone!!!   R

YEAH it is soooooooooo great isnt it!!!!!!!!  Juy 3rd was my personal Independence Day, it was 12 years since my divorce, I always tell people mine came earlier than others, lol. I have come a long way in that time, I left with an 8 month old who is now 13, had no job and no car back then, no where to live!  I lived in one room at my parents for 3.5 years working full time and going to college full time and it was tough, needless to say I gained a lot during that period of time.  July 16th will be my 17 month mark and I have me back, ME!!!!!!!!  Don't you just love having yourself back, CONGRATS RUTH!

Congratulations on such a milestone!  You should be extremely proud of yourself for what you have accomplished.   Plus you serve as an inspiration to all of us.  Enjoy your freedom from fat!  You certainly deserve it!

Ruth, Congratulations!  You are such an inspiration to those of us coming through the early stages just now. It is such a privilege to have a shining example of what great changes can happen after WLS. (even if you happen to be partially non-compliant!) Enjoy your surgiversary and all your new exciting experiences that are coming along now. Thanks again for all you do! John PS - you really have to get them to put up some new pictures at WW...
