Maybe I'm Not Doing So Bad After All????

Diana - I know exactly what you mean! I have had issues with this weight not coming off fast enough, and with feeling that my size, energy, and achievements do not match my current weight. I feel that I should drop five lbs a week, and although I know that is unrealistic and not going to happen, my brain still goes that direction. I started this journey in early September of last year and given the amount of weight I lost, I should just zip it and accept the fact that the rest of the weight will come off and best of all, it will never come back!  - Anna

I really believe the stalls or pauses or whatever are part of it.  Let's face it, we all have a LOT of weight to lose-we aren't dropping a quick 10 pounds here.

I think the body treats fat like a bank account.  We blow through the discretionary fat, but remember, the body is used to having a big balance, so it might not let go of the remaining extra quite so fast.

I loved the early on fast loss-it was super, not going to lie.  But giving my skin a chance to catch up hasn't been a bad thing at all-I think I look better.  We all have our own vanities and goals, and mine is to look really healthy-full of energy.

Also, I think that how your mind is set up determines how your body will release weight.  Losing weight can raise up a whole load of head issues that have to be dealt with, and sometimes the head needs the body to slow down a bit so it can catch up.

Bottom line-you are doing a great job-you look healthy and fabulous.
