Support Group Tonight!

Tonight's support group was wonderful! We got to taste alot of the protein bars and sip on liquid gold! The best part was putting real faces to the names on this board!! It was wonderful! I learned alot from the pros who have gone before....I appreciated the honesty from the ones who admited it is not easy and not everyone jumps back up on their feet as quickly as others....and am praying I am like the ones who did!  I can see how important support groups are. Not only for informational purposes but to see the progress in person!! Thank you all for the real life welcome and if you haven't been to a support group! GO!!!!!!!!!!!!    Sherry

HI SHERRY, I MISSED THE MEETING TONIGHT BECAUSE IT WAS MY FIRST DAY BACK TO WORK SINCE SURGERY. I WAS REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO MEETING SOMEMORE PEOPLE THAT I CHAT WITH. I AM GLAD THAT YOU ENJOYED THE MEETING, CAN'T SAY THAT I AM NOT JEALOUS BUT I WILL GET TO ONE HOPEFULLY NEXT MONTH. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO ASK.

I loved getting to meet a bunch of new people too!  I really had fun tonight!  I'm extremely tired now though.  What a long day for me! Hope everyone has a safe holiday weekend! Love ya all! Dot

Dot, I totally did not recognize you!  I hear all the time that I don't look like my avatar.  You don't look like your avatar either!  Your hair is much lighter now!  When everyone was saying you were Dot T I couldn't think who that was because you look so different!  I did the same thing with Anna!  It's so weird!  I was sitting next to Rita by the way....in case you still don't know who I was!  lol

This was only my 3rd support group, but I will say it again -- of all the support groups I have attended due to my job, this one is by far the BEST I have ever been to! I am still too shy to open up too much during them, but I get so much out of them!  Best bunch of losers I have ever been around!

Nancy - next time I'm going to grab you and hug you!  Right now, you're to far in towards the middle for me to grab you.  But soon I'll be skinnier and I won't be afraid of scaring you and you are toast!  Huggable toast! (I know, I'm kinda weird!)

It was a great night. I haven't smiled or laughed that much in a long time. It was great to finally get to talk to everyone in person, and figure out who's who. I can finally tell a difference between Happycat and GlitterGal lol. Thomas was there and it was great meeting him, and he put up with all of us the whole night. :)

I can't believe you had a hard time telling us apart!  I'm the much younger, nicer one!!!  

I love support group too!  I look forward to it every month.  The 2nd hour is the best because you get to hear from so many people and about real experiences.  I had a pretty easy recovery and I'm hoping for the same for you.  I hope to see you posting lots and lots here!  We are your family now whether you like it or not!

I LOVE support group!  I couldn't take this journey without you guys!  I feel like I hve a whole new group of best friends!  I enjoyed seeing all of you guys. See you in 2 weeks.  If I don't introduce myself then come up to me.  I am a really nice person and I love to talk!!!!!!! Denise
