Self Pay Question

I am just wondering about something....To have the sleeve, what is covered in the fee.?How much is the sleeve? I mean does it cover the sleep study, blood tests, or any of that and is there a cash discount? I haven't gotten to discuss any of this yet with WW. But I am wondering so I will know what to plan on...or work towards.

I don't know if this will help you or not.  I'm having laproscopic RNY on Monday and I can tell you I am self pay.  So far out of pocket expense is $8,000 that includes, 2 visits to the dietician, psych eval, pulmonary dr, cardiologist, sleep study, 2 visits to the surgeon, blood work, ekg, ecg, stress test.  The fee from the hospital will be $14,250 with a 1 night stay.  The surgeons fee will be almost $5,000 I have a loan from Capital One Health Care for $20,000.  The payments will be Almost $500 a month.

The sleeve costs $9995 for self pay patients. That covers the surgeons fee, anesthesia, and hospital stay. The blood tests and everything else is extra, or at least it was for me. But my insurance covered most of the in office stuff.

WW also has a fee that covers a lot of the pre surgical visits, if needed. So far most of mine have been covered by insurance, even though the surgery itself is excluded. The self pay fee is also going up after July 1st, unless you have already attended a seminar.

Yes...Nancy is right. I was there yesterday and was told the fees are going up!!! If you have been to a seminar before July 1st, you will get the sleeve for 9995 if you do it before December 31st. If not, you will have the new fees, which I was told (not by WW) is going up about $5000. Call them Monday to find out. I know they will give you all the information you're looking for!!! I went to the seminar. I have also had a consult with Dr. Walton. I have had a sleep study and am suposed to have a stress test on Monday. I just found out that the company that has my insurance is changing insurance, so I'm not sure what will be covered or what is going on at this point. I was to go get fitted for my cpap this week also....so all that is now up in the air for a time....I will call the office Monday to see about what's what....I need to get this all straightened out so I can know how much I am going to need and apply for.....Thank you girls for your insight. The $9,995 covers an uncomplicated stay. I am currently looking for a post that I made months back that discussed this in length per information that I got from Dr. Broussard.
