I have started having leg cramps.  I can only guess it's a lack of potassium.  Pills or food?  What's the best way to get more in me to get rid of the cramps?  OUCH!

Potassium is a touchy one. Bananas and Appricots are full of potassium. If you go the pill route then talk to your doctor to find out how much is safe. Potassium can affect your heart if you have to much. I would just give them a call and ask them how much to take to be safe....Sherry. Drink more liquids too.

Tomatoes are also high in potassium.

Low levels of magnesium can also cause leg cramps.

Exercising before warming up first can also cause cramping.

If the cramps continue, it's probably best to see your PCP and have an exam and some lab work done to find the source of the problem accurately.

Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly
