No, I never had that...  It sounds like it definitely something to get checked out by the doctor as soon as possible.  I am sorry to hear you are in pain like that.

Yup. I have. I'm 6 weeks out. Dr. B said it's something I could feel or 8-10 weeks. Mine feels like a pulling/buring sensation when it happens. Cindy

Yes, It is a very common symptom after gastric surgery.. More than likely it is from scar tissue forming. Same thing happened to me and I had Dr. Walton look at it and that is exactly what he told me. I tell all my patients to expect it and not to be alarmed if and when it happens. However, if you are running a fever, or if the area looks infected, or if you can't keep anything on your stomach, I recommend that you give him a call.

The left side is where the surgeon does most of the work thru and it is probably the muscle.  I had the pain and burning sensation for about 6 - 8 weeks and perfectly normal.  I found a couple of times that I agravated it by trying to do too much too soon.

I am 3 months out TODAY (yeah me) and I still have weird feelings on the left side.  I think it is mainly due to the moving of my weight and such.  It takes me about 25 minutes to drive up to my girlfriend's house and the drive tonight was bothering me cause my weight was kinda resting right in that area in a weird way.  As for the pain in the left immediately after surgery, mine lasted about 3 weeks to a month or so.  I had one incision get like a small infection in it (maybe from a stitch or a hair) and it got a little red and filled with puss on one side.  Luckily this was on the same week as my 6 week check up.  The doc said it looked okay and just to keep some Neosporin on it and try not to hit it directly with the showerhead.  A few days later and it was fine.
