We are diving to Houston on Tuesday to spend the week at my dad's.  We are also going to the beach.  SO... what kinds of road trip foods should I pack?  I am going to try to stay on track while traveling. Any suggestions?

When I went to Dallas about a month and a half ago I took string cheese and beef sticks with me and a 12 pack of bottled water and Crystal Light flavor packets.  I just put my little cooler in the trunk with some ice in it and I got me something out of it each time we stopped and used it also at the hotel.  It helped keep me on track and saved me money too.  Have fun on your trip.

You could go ahead and mix up your chicken or tuna "salad" in a little container too. I usually take my string cheese and some deli meat for sure. It will always do the trick for me. I don't go anywhere without my water packets. I can add that even if I have to buy water from the gas station. I've also found most convenience stores carry LF String Cheese if you find yourself out without anything. Recently found some beef jerky nuggets in tiny packets that are prettygood too. Have a wonderful trip!! Cindy

Beef jerky, protein bars, edamame nuts, that kind of stuff and I am like Dan, I always pack my own drinks cause I can buy a cup of ice anywhere!
