Unlurking
I have secretly been taking advantage of all this group's collective wisdom, but I think it is time to finally unlurk. I have been thinking the surgery over for a while, but now I have decided. So I thought I would wait to say "hi" to you all when I was sure it was going to happen. Got the call last Friday from Dr. Gorospe's office that insurance had approved, so I guess it is time now! It's going to happen! Still have some appointments to go, and already flunked the sleep test (bummer--that was ONE thing I thought I could do well!) Have to reschedule the sleep test, this time with the lovely masks. Psych test this Friday. On my road to the RNY!

Hi Diana and Welcome!
Congratulations on your decision!
I don't live in Oklahoma (I'm in Michigan) but visit this board at least a couple of times a week. This is a very active board and always will come thru for you whenever you have a question, or just need to vent. You will find a wonderful supportive friendly group of people here.
Please keep us posted as you progress toward your surgery day. Any and all questions are always welcome!
Huggs,
Pam
Diana, a belated "welcome" to you. I'm so happy that you have reached your "moment". I love Tahlequah....my hubby & I have discussed retiring in that area for years (still a ways off). We just sold our lake home at Tenkiller last Friday...I'm still sad . Oh, well, there is still the future. Anyway, I couldn't be happier for you! Please stay in touch and keep us all posted. This group is full of it....oops, Wisdom, I mean. We'll all have you in our thoughts & prayers. Way to go!!!
Hello Diana and welcome to our family! It is awsome that you are making this change in your life. Good Luck and God Bless! I love the Tahlequah area, that is where my husband and I met... at school there. many many moons ago. My sister and her family live near there in Peggs. I hope you can make it to our Tulsa Area Eat Meet and Greets. We have a few that come from that direction. I know we have one from Locust Grove and one from Salina. Looking forward to hearing about your progress.

It took me four years to make that decision. Then when I finally decided to do it I found my insurance wouldn't cover it ! I'm so happy you don't have that hanging over you. Now on the the job at hand. This is a great forum -- if you need any help at all you have a multitude of people looking out for you. I'll keep you in my thoughts. Lynette
