THE CURSE HAS BEEN BROKEN....BARELY!

The stupid scale has been stuck on 208 for a month even though I have added exercise faithfully and focused more on protein/water intake and watched my calories.  It finally moved...not much!   lol Now 207...but hey, it's in the right direction!  I did Shelly's BMR/calories burned...etc yesterday and have a plan to burn some more of this weight off!!  Hopefully July will be a better month for me.  One pound a month is not so hot!!!  I am 5 days from my 6 month surgiversary and I REALLY wanted to be 100 pounds down for my surgiversary.  I am 5.5 pounds away....darn it!!!  I know...silly to focus on that...but we get these goals in our head to motivate us and I hate being sooooo close to making such a milestone goal!!  I guess if I changed my goal to 95 pounds lost I could have a major victory on my surgiversay day!  lol  WHAT A DORK!!!  I am into XL tops and size 18's and I haven't been there since 1983!!  THAT IS 25 YEARS!!!  I think THAT is what I will celebrate for my 6 month surgiversary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    I am off to church now!  HOPE EVERYONE HAS AN AWESOME SUNDAY!!!

You need to have a major celebration no matter what! You have done great! I can't even remember the last time I wore an 18 or XL -- well unless I really thought about it, but no time for that right now. I missed our walking yesterday morning but will see you next week. Nancy

I missed the walk too but enjoyed the extra zzz's.  What's really funny is I only slept in 30 minutes longer than if we had walked.  Not a lot of zzzz's!! lol   I saw your Rat Pack picture....I have that same top!  I'm glad you had a great time with your dad and family.  See you next Saturday.  Diana

Awesome!  I've been faithfully stuck on the same weight for OH, 4 months now.  My body is saying-this is what you get with the effort you are putting forth-want more, more effort!!!

So, I feel your frustration.

I'm working hard to not get tied up in the x amount of pounds by a certain date.  Part of changing our eating lifestyle is changing the way we think about the scale, and the all or nothing mindset.  I KNOW this, but I'm not there yet.

Diana, you have done so well!  You deserve a wonderful surgiversay celebration no matter what the scale does between now and the 27th.  You go girl!  You inspire me. Denise
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

This is a major victory!  I know how our crazy minds work sometimes but just get that out of your head that you have to lose 100 for it to be a successful accomplishment.  You, my friend, have done an amazing job.  If I knew that I would be 95 lbs smaller by next summer I would be jumping for joy.  Somehow I can picture losing 50 but anymore than that I have a hard time wrapping my mind around.  Anway, wearing a size 18 and XL would be heaven for me, so enjoy it girl!!  Then kick your butt in gear and pick a new goal to reach by next summer (realistic of course!).

I bet you will be 95 pounds less by next summer!  I know...I sounded totally lame complaining that I have "only lost" 94.5 rather than 100.  By next summer, I would like to be able to...........RUN!  WOW!

Diana, I'm glad the scale moved. I know that waiting for those particular milestones are nerve racking. You've done an awesome job ,and I know that you can tolerate this summer much better than last. I know I can. What a huge difference 95-100 pounds makes. Keep om keepin on and hopefully I will see you soon. Rita
