WeightWise Support Groups for July

Hey Gang - I wanted to get the WW Support Group meeting dates out there early so you can plan ahead to attend.  If I recall the speaker this month will be someone from the WW Marketplace on supplements and items available.  As soon as I know more, I will update you. Tuesday July 1 - 6p-8p  BandWise Support Group Thursday July 3 - 6p-8p PouchWise Support Group Wednesday July 16 - 630p-8p Graduate Support Group (no speaker) Thursday July 17 - 6p-8p PouchWise Support Group All of these groups meet at Foundation Bariatric Hospital of OK in Edmond.  You can find directions at www.weightwise.com. Anyone is invited - you do not have to be a patient of WW to participate!!  Except for the Graduate group - the 1st portion of the meeting is a speaker and the remainder is roundtable discussion. The Graduate group is for those patients who are a year post-op to discuss any issues or support needed for long-term post ops.   Please let us know if you have any questions - you can ask most any of the WW patients for information - we're the loud ones!!

I bet  you'll be doing fine by then.  I decided to turn my office into a closet my fourth day out from surgery.  The dumb thing, I now don't have the clothes to fill it !! 

HI guys!  I am a newbie to the board and have  my surgical consult all planned out for July 10th.  I have not attended any support groups yet.  I am curious if there are any support groups that meet in Tulsa?  I live in Tahlequah and have chosen Dr. Broussard as my surgeon, but I forgot to ask if there were any support groups that meet a little closer to home.  I am a believer in support groups but it's just not going to be feasible for me to make every meeting being that I am 21/2 hours away!  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

I know that Dr. Gorospe has a monthly meeting - watch here there are a bunch of his patients that play on this board.  Or you could look up his website to find the information.  Not sure about Katsis though.   Hopefully I will be putting something together for that direction in the next few months for the WW patients that are that direction.   Welcome to the WeightWise family too!  Dr. B is awesome - as is Dr. W - the little cajun man is a hoot!!!  Watch out - he'll try to sucker you over to the LSU bandwagon though!!  LOL Ask away if you have any questions - you'll get responses from this happy bunch!!!  We're glad you're here!!!

Hi Cotton77, welcome!  Dr. Gorospe has a support group meeting every 2nd Monday night at Bailey Medical Center in Owasso.  That might be closer for you.  If you would like more info or have any questions about the meetings, or need detailed directions, send me a PM and I will be glad to help.  Dionne

Hey Dionne, Thanks for the info!  Yes I will be looking in to that.  I am still trying to figure out how to work this forum, so I will PM you for more info when I figure it out (and am not trying to get dressed for work...blah!)  Thanks again!
