I had seen some posts on here before my surgery that talked about everyone getting cold for the first times in their lives. I kind of wondered if it would happen to me. I got cold once in the hospital, but haven't really been cold since then. But today....I'M FREEZING!!! I can't seem to get warm to save my life! My son and I went for a walk and it was SUCH a beautiful day. I wasn't really cold while walking because it is so warm outside, but I didn't get close to being hot! lol Now, I'm back inside and I can't get warm. :) Kind of a cool feeling!!! lol Love you guys!!! Liz

Boy, can I ever relate. ; ) It is getting a bit better, but I still have a difficult time with any blowing air conditioning.

The only time I really get warm, or hot, is when I'm riding my bike! Enjoy a summer of economical air conditioning bills! : )

Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

I am loving the warm weather...I am one of those that did get cold right after surgery and haven't warmed up yet! I am ok outdoors because it is warm, but indoors, with the A/C...it gets too cold for me - at work especially - but I do have a heater there under my desk and I am not afraid to use it, even if people think I am weird.  I am noticing the difference big time, between now and previous summers. I would be sweating and all....now the only time I do sweat is when I am on the threadmill, or if I walk in the heat. It's beautiful I tell you..I am loving it. Of course when the cold weather comes back, y'all will hear me complain that it's too cold!!

I am frozen by air conditioning as well. Especially when I'm trying to sleep at night.  We played mini golf outside today and I was actually hot, so I knew that it must be really hot outside.  I went walking around garage sales in my neighborhood two weeks ago and felt chilled by the wind while my kids were begging me for drinks and rest and acting like we were trekking across the desert.  It's funny how some of us get cold and some of us don't.  The surgery affects us all differently.   It is nice to have a lower OGE bill, though!

Honestly, my bill is probably 20-30 dollars lower per month this summer.  My dogs (chihuahuas are cold natured too) are soooooo happy-Mom finally keeps the house at a reasonable temperature.

What's really odd is that I used to hate being hot-but now I prefer to sweat a little vs. being chilly if I have to choose.

Yep, I got cold as well.  I've lost about 65# and have begun to keep one of those light microfiber throws in my chair at home, on my bed and in my car (my hubby freezes me to death in the car).  I sleep under sheet, bedspread and throw....temp in the house is about 75.  We have a separate airconditioner in the bedroom and we used to turn it on 68 at night....now we don't even use it :o)  It's a love/hate relationship.  I love the lower electric bills, but I hate my hubby calling me "panty-waist"....oh well....at least they're big girl panties!!!  The up side to this is that you'll get used to it and/or adapt (like carrying a blanket and jacket everywhere you go)...speaking of jacket  I also carry one of those in the car to take into restaurants, movies, etc.
