Support Groups

I need to find an accredited support group in the OKC Metro area. Do any of you know of any? The one that my surgeon offers is on the day of my son's b-day party. Lap Band oriented group if there is such a thing.

I know weightwise has them. I'm sure some others will come along and post the details. All I know is that they have them and anyone is invited.

Go to weightwise.com for the dates of the support groups. I think the band group meets the first Tuesday of the month. The VSG and RNY groups are the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month. You might check OWLO's site and see what they have.

I have maintained for one year at this point. I am steady at -120 pounds. =)

Here's a link to the OWLO Support Groups ... dates and times. I'm not sure what you mean by *accredited*, but OWLO is a Bariatric Center of Excellence as awarded by the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons. I'm not sure of which others may be a Bariatric Center of Excellence in the OKC area. If you are an OWLO patient, you do not need to attend your specific surgery support group to get your required support group attendance in ... any type of surgery support group offered will do to meet that requirement pre-op.
