I know that we still have carb craving.  But I think my surgery came undone.  I feel like all I have done today is eat.  I was starving this morning so at 9:30 I ate my lunch, then at 1 (surprise, surprise) I was starving again.  Not having anything with me to eat, i went to the store and the only thing they had left was a brisket sand.  I was worried about eating it, and i looked down and the WHOLE DAMN THING WAS GONE.  BREAD AND ALL.  I sat here and ate the whole thing.  Now 30 mins afterwards, I feel fine.  Shouldnt the bread have made me sick or made my tummy hurt or something.  I do have a headache now, but thats it.

I have no clue but just wanted to say that I think you are doing great.  And even though you shouldn't have eaten the bread, you are still eating WAY less than you would have on a "pig out" day before your sleeve.  I will interested in what the others say about it.

Karen, I have days that I want to eat everything in sight. I have managed to not do it but those days are still there. I would think that you should have felt something from eating the bread, especially if that was your first time to have bread. But hey, everyone is different. Don't beat yourself up over it, but try not to make a habit of it just because it didn't bother you. Try some sugar free hard candy when you get that urge to carb out. It satisfy's me, however the sugar alcohol gives me some major gas. The trade offs that we make? LOL

I got up this morning feeling like my stomach was going to burst from hunger.  I stopped at Sonic and got a breakfast burrito, ready to tear into it like a banshee.  I ate about half of it and started feeling full.  I am fixing to make something now only cause I NEED to eat something.  I have many days though where I FEEL hungry like the old days but once I start eating it only takes a little bit.  That is such an awesome feeling.

The only thing bread would do is swell in your stomach....well, other than being empty white carbs if it wasn't whole grain bread. It would have made you feel full faster, but I doubt it would make you sick unless you became overfull.

I always carry nuts in my purse and in the car for a quick and healthy snack. Like Ruth said in an earlier thread, almonds are best and she mentioned they are on sale at Walgreen's .... 2 for 1 this week! (Thanks Ruth, I went and stocked up!)

Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

Shelly, that was me who likes Almonds, not Ruth. Everybody gets us mixed up because our names start with an R and has four letters.  Ruth wants a tramp stamp and I want Almonds. LOL LOL. Seriously I wouldn't mind having one on my foot. A tatoo that is, not an Almond. Rita
