I have BCBS,,,,, And you HAVE To do the 6 month supervised diet or forget it,.   So I suggest she starts now seeing a dr and getting on a supervised diet.  I personally only had to pay 600 out of pocket and of course all of the supervised diet.  It was all worth it!!!!

If your Aunt doesn't want it for herself then I think you are simply wasting your time.  She evidentally is not at the desperation point.  I had gotten there especially when I had to start taking insulin.  Insurance did not cover it but as Sherri said...the money is useless when you're dead.  I had to borrow with my home loan but I feel like it has been so worth it and would do it again in a heart beat.  For some reason...you aunt really doesn't want this it sounds like.  Debbie
