Policekat:  A RnY patient usually stays 2 days after surgery - VSG & LapBands usually 24 hours.  It's because of the difference in the procedures and the amount of work done on the inside due to the reroute of the small intestines.  It's no biggie actually - I was there 2.5 days and I would have been happy to stay more!! LOL   There are just a few different things that they want to watch for in a RnY that is the cause for the additional time.   No worries - you are going to be ALL GOOD!!!  Hang in there girl!!

Policekat, Our RNY patients normally stay 2 nights because the surgery is a little more complex than the gastric sleeve. Again, good luck to you Monday. My good friend and boss, Tammy will be taking care of you in pre-op,recovery, and after you get to your room. Relax and enjoy your weekend, Rita

THANKS FOR CLEARING THAT UP FOR ME. I AM GETTING MORE NERVOUS AS THE DAY GOES ON. I KNOW ALL THE DR'S AND STAFF ARE VERY GOOD AT THEIR JOBS AND HAVE A LOT OF CONFIDENCE IN THEM BUT I STILL WORRY!
