what do i need to take to hospital?
Just remember no red or purple. I was so excited about my surgery, it didn't bother me that I couldn't eat anything. I just drank water and had a few popsicles and that was it. If you get too hungry, you might try some broth...it can be a little more filling than jus****er. My suggestion is the boullion cubes, though. That canned stuff is horrible!!! Well...unless you like it. :)
GOOD LUCK!!!

You guys sound like you're in the hospital like only for a night or something like that... Is that right? Everyone seems to have pretty much covered the basics... I was in the hospital for 3 nights/4 days. I would suggest bringing a magazine with you to read as well. I had several with me and it helped. Good luck with your surgery... You've done great with your pre-op diet so I know you'll do wonderful post-op as well!

No you were told correctly - at FBH - RnY's usually are there just over 2 days sometimes a 3rd but depends. VSG and LapBands are usually about 24 hours barring complications. The staff at FBH are so darned good you are in GREAT hands!! The complication rate is very very low at FBH because of the preoperative testing that is required. That's not to say things don't happen, but it is rare. I think they have had to use the ICU less than 5 times in 2.5 years, so I think that is AWESOME!! (Rita if that figure is wrong, update me please!)
No worries - you have the bestest surgeons, nurses, staff, hospital in the world in MY book anyways!! Yeah I am a little bit partial, but..... who cares!!
Spend some time over the weekend at peace with yourself and enjoy things!
