Return from vacation and an unwelcome revelation

Well, it's good to be back.  I'm so sorry I wasn't able to make dinner tonight but we just returned not but a few hours ago.  I'm looking forward to the next one.  Anyway, we went to Disneyworld for vacation and yes, I confess I did cheat 2 times.  2 times I ate carbs and my shocking discovery is this; "sleeves can dump!"  I thought I was going to DIE!!!  Cold sweat, heart pounding, naseau beyond all comprehension; altogether AWFUL experience.  Potatoes are the devil.  I hate them.  Finished; done; over - not to be thought of.  So, in a way, blessing in disguise?   So tell me ... what's new?  What have I missed?   Robyn

Welcome back, Robyn! We missed you tonight at Alfredo's! I'm sorry to hear that you got sick.

Do you think it was just the potatoes? Or, were they buttered or with sour cream? I did have mashed potatoes on mushies (no butter or gravy) and did OK. I haven't really had any since. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your vacation! : )

Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

Just plain old potatoes!  Go figure...???   But yes, I had a wonderful vacation.

I know this is somewhat sick but I would be happy if I dumped after eating potatoes.  That would give me a definite reason to stay away from evil carbs. That being said, I'm so sorry you got sick on vacation.  That is not fair!  I hope you had a great time anyway.  I sure love Disney! Glad to have you back!  The only news is that the support group meeting is tomorrow night and we are having another dinner next Monday night to welcome our newest WW patient, CowboyOnFire.  He is flying in from St. Thomas to have his surgery.  (yes, that St. Thomas - Virgin Islands!) So other than the evil dumping, how did your sleeve handle vacation?

I did have a great time at Disney; we drove so that on the way back we could stop in Savannah and also in Tuscaloosa (roll tide roll!) so it was really  neat.  Is this still the group with the plastic surgeon?  I hope so!  I have to say that I don't know if it has anything to do with a banana tummy or if it is just having lost some weight, but the rides that used to make me kind of sick (motion sick, I guess??)  didn't bother me at all.  I had no problems with any rides and let me tell you that my hubby and BIL and skinny SIL all did.  So maybe the banana tummy helped?

It may sound cruel, but I am so happy you dumped on potatoes!  I only can hope I am that lucky!  I want to dump when I put evil carbs in my sleeve!! We've been missing you.  Glad you are back safe and sound.  I love all things Disney.  I guess I will never grow up. Maybe we will see you on Monday at Applebee's in Edmond at 6:30 Denise

You meanie!    No, in a way, I'm glad I dumped too.  The sad thing is, I wasn't even cheating to "cheat" per se.  I was just trying to eat more "normally" so that my BIL and SIL woulnd't notice anything, which they didn't fortunately thanks to my sneaky husband who kept slyly slipping food off of my plate.  I could have done without the dumping so after the 2nd time, I just told them that I wasn't that hungry because of the heat.

Hey girl!  Did you have fun though?  Were you able to ride rides?  I can't wait to be able to take our son there and actually be able to ride on rides with him.  You missed my drama, I flunked the stress test and had to have a heart cath yesterday.  The dr. had me scared to death but it was a false alarm.  Now I am just taking it easy until my "plug" heals where they went in.  My pre-op is Tuesday and I still have these dang 3 lbs to lose so it is liquids for me!  I'm planning on going Monday night and hope I get to see you there.

Holy cow!  That would scare me to death too!  I'm glad that everything turned out okay for you.  Whew.  What a relief.  If you're like me, you'll lose those three pounds just from the liquids - you've done so well, I know you'll make it!  And to answer your question, I rode ALL the rides!  It was great!
