Beef jerky has the same effect on me that Dan gets with pork rinds!  I can chew it into liquid and it still makes me hurl.  :o(  I can eat a few carrots if I chew like mad.  I chew gum a lot!

So gum doesn't  bother you, I was told it causes gas.  I might have to try that trick.  Keeps my mouth moving and not doing any harm, hopefully.  I am going to try that. Thank you, and by the way - I left you a photo comment, you are looking marvelous. Brenda

Thanks!!  I don't get burpy gas from it...now the other more offensive gas...that has increased since surgery and some things make it really bad...like the fat free low sugar/low carb ice creams....that causes a bad amount of gas....I'd go nuts without my gum...it helps with ketosis breath too!

I really enjoy cold and crispy cucumber slices and cherry or grape tomatoes. Also, the smallest baby carrots give a good and healthy crunch, too. Also, allowed on my diet plan is whole wheat crackers (I like Ritz Whole Wheat) with some Laughing Cow Light cheese spread on top. Whole Wheat Ritz does have some carbs, but not a horrible amount. 5 crackers = 1 serving and 70 calories. The Laughing Cow Light cheese adds some protein and only 35 calories. Good Luck!
Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

What about turkey pepperoni?  You nuke it in the microwave 35 seconds or so and it becomes crispy.  And has SO much flavor!

I usually like going to the deli at Walmart..........sliced on a "2" - get some sliced turkey -smoked honey turkey, and slice co-jack (round cheese) sliced on a "2".     Take 1 cheese and 1 slice turkey............roll up together.....INSTANT PROTEIN SNACK... LOW CARBS IF ANY !!       yjmmy If you are craving carbs.....you may just need more protein !!
