Well i have done it. I've passed all the tests, Lost the required weight, and started the excersize. I have surgery tomorrow morning.  I am excited, and apprehensive all at the same time.  Any advise, tips, etc, things you wish you knew before hand?

Take a deep breath and know you are doing the right thing.  You're panicking now, I did when I woke up after surgery.  My first thought -- what in heaven's name have I done.  Did I really have to do this to lose weight.  The resounding answer is yes, I did.  I have now lost 105 pounds and haven't regreted it for a moment.  Yes, my life is different in a lot of ways, but I wouldn't go back for anything.  If you want to talk, my number is 366-1213.

I think you are making an excellent decision!  Good luck tomorrow and let you know how you're doing! The first couple of days are kinda weird and there is some discomfort.  But starting day 4, you will be a new woman! Please post if you have questions! We'll all be thinking about you! Kim

Well, first of all, congratulations on your surgery tomorrow morning!  You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.  I am almost 4 yrs post op now so the best advice I can give you is to follow what the surgeon and the nut. say to do.  Also, for the first few days, you are not going to be very comfortable at all... it will pass.  Get up and move as much as you can and keep sipping your water.  The good outweighs the bad when it comes to the WLS... it was the best decision I ever made.  Good luck to you!
