Thank you to all who wished me good luck
on my National Board final exam last Saturday. I kept saying small prayers and said the final one as I clicked on the first question. I knew the answer to all 6 questions and finished an hour and a half early..scared my DH to death..he was afraid I'd choked or something.
I go back and forth thinking I rocked it or bombed it. I know the first part of question 6 wasn't really wonderful, but what can I say when it's about a book I haven't read since 1995, and it's a middle school book at that..the high school one was on my reading list, but I hadn't gotten to it yet..wouldn't ya know.
I can't discuss anything specific about the tests..I will get my results sometime around Thanksgiving...they like to make a person wait forever..Then , if I pass, I can relax. If I didn't, I'll either have to redo an entry or take an exam over...sigh....I just want it over with already....ready to see the letters NBCT after my name...oh, and the cash can't hurt either!
Thanks you all...you're so sweet! Trust me. I know what to do with that money...even more so, I know what to do with the money that should be coming my way in September when my mom''s estate is settled. Top of the list: pay off the surgery!!

I don't know WHO does the tallying, but I agree with ya on that one. I'm trying not to obsess about it, but it's hard not to.
I know that when I shipped "THE BOX" (translation: portfolio entries complete with written description of class assignments and copies of videos for those 2 entries that required video of me...ugh..) the 4 envelopes containing the 4 entries were taken out and shipped across the country and scored by no less than 3 people...the test is scored by 3 people as well..guess they need a lot of time.
All I know is that they'd better not lose any part of my entries...and I really hope I didn't botch the tech question. My daughter thinks they were asking for internet..and I responded differently...sigh..
