I forgot to mention....  I shaved my head because there is a lady on the forums who has lost all of her hair and hadn't really had the support of some of the people in her area.  I told her that I would shave my head once I got the date an then i'd let it grow back till it was an inch long, then i'd maintain it till I got the foamies....lol So I wanted to show some solidarity to someone who would appreciate the sacrifice.....  plus i'd always wanted to do it and i thought it would look really terrible, but everyone seem to like it just fine... weird...but for the right cause...lol.... now...i just gotta do 50 more cruches before bed....  i'm gonna have that 6 pack.... i promised myself...  I have the biggest love for all of us chubby people...(yes even for those who were once chubby but learned their lesson....)...lol T.

A shaved head is SEXY! my hubby swears bald is beautiful! (I agree) he doesnt shave it but is smooth on top. I have worn my hair short for a very long time cause its easier to take care of and I hate messing with it (I am a beautician, by trade) lol.. I have been letting it grow out for a year now and its driving me crazy.. I am about ready to join ya with shaving of the head! The reasoning behind growing it out is that after surgery and it starts to thin out it will be easier to disguise it. I may be wrong in that. Guess I will find out if and when I have surgery. Until then, I have to fight the urge to cut this crap off. Have a safe trip. I am keeping you in my prayers!

Some guy on one of the medical channels said that if you take folic acid 3 times a day your hair will grow back....I agree with him. I took it for a few months and I had hair growing on my face and even my chest!!! Needless to say it does work as long as you don't care where the hair grows...I prefer ON my head, not my face or chest!  Cowboy, it was quite wonderful of  you to do that for your friend. I admire that. 

If you take biotin it iwll help with the hair loss and just another little thing. As long as you keep up your proteinlevels before surgery and after hair loss will be to a mininum. Hair grows in three month cyles so if your protein level is where it should be when you have surgery you can see some hair loss three months after surgery but like I said maintain your protein and it will grow back fast. Congrats on your date!

I have had some shedding but today in the shower I had tons of hair falling out to the point I had a ball of hair on the drain when I was finished showering.  Now, I am concerned.  I make sure to get in my 60 grams of protein so I guess I need to increase that????  I want to grow my hair longer but it is getting so thin I may have to go shorter to disguise the hair loss!!  You can't see my scalp yet...if that day comes I might have to get some hair extensions!!!
