So, I am at a business training event this week - up until today, I have been with people from other locations across my business who I had never met before, but late this afternoon, my boss's boss, who I have been working with for over four years now, flew in to teach part of the class tomorrow. The group, including me, was already at dinner when he came in, and I waved as he came by, but he did not wave back or stop and speak, because he clearly did NOT recognize me.  I got up from my table to go over and speak, and he still did a double take before he realized who I was.  I have not seen him since about 10 days before my surgery - so maybe 35-40 pounds ago.   It was a weird feeling, because when I look in the mirror, I still see all the bulges and all the roly poly parts that I've had for so long, but evidently I am actually making some progress that is noticeable to others! Here's wishing all of you a great evening and a non-scale victory of your own! John

I have people who don't recognize me now too only it's because of the weight. i am praying once I get in to have my sleeve that I too will look forward to a day like yours! I'm sure you were quite proud of what you have acomplished!! Great job!!! Thanks for the upbeat progress report!!! Sherry

Congratulations John! That is a great NSV!!!

It does seem we're the last to see the changes in ourselves. Same here.

Keep reporting your NSVs ... I love hearing them! : )

John - remember when I visited you in the hospital and Dr W walked right by me and didn't realize who I was? Happens all the time with Drs W & B and you KNOW how much I am at the Healthplex with Support Groups and stuff. I think it is great and a huge confidence boost to know that you are doing the right thing for YOU and that others can see it.  A great affirmation!  Keep up the great work!  I can't wait to see you at Support Group!!! John - that is a great NSV!  Congratulations.  I can't wait until people start noticing.  Why is it that the people I work with are so dense?  But that's another story!  Great post!
