NSV at work!
So, I am at a business training event this week - up until today, I have been with people from other locations across my business who I had never met before, but late this afternoon, my boss's boss, who I have been working with for over four years now, flew in to teach part of the class tomorrow.
The group, including me, was already at dinner when he came in, and I waved as he came by, but he did not wave back or stop and speak, because he clearly did NOT recognize me. I got up from my table to go over and speak, and he still did a double take before he realized who I was. I have not seen him since about 10 days before my surgery - so maybe 35-40 pounds ago.
It was a weird feeling, because when I look in the mirror, I still see all the bulges and all the roly poly parts that I've had for so long, but evidently I am actually making some progress that is noticeable to others!
Here's wishing all of you a great evening and a non-scale victory of your own!
John
John - remember when I visited you in the hospital and Dr W walked right by me and didn't realize who I was? Happens all the time with Drs W & B and you KNOW how much I am at the Healthplex with Support Groups and stuff.
I think it is great and a huge confidence boost to know that you are doing the right thing for YOU and that others can see it. A great affirmation! Keep up the great work! I can't wait to see you at Support Group!!!
