Thank you SOOOO much for the replies! I guess I should have clarified that Houston is not my hometown...I was born in NY, grew up in St Louis, then moved here with AT&T 5 yrs ago...I MISS THE MIDWEST and the SNOW! lol
My only real concern is the school system, as my daughter has a learning acceleration of 2 years advancement and I dont want her to stagnate or become bored, as she is prone to doing. She needs a gifted class like she has here.
As for no Starbucks...I think I can live. My lil drip maker may not be fancy, but I think I like paying $5 for a pound of coffee, rather than for just a single cuppa joe...lol

Check there may be magnet schools there like we have in the Tulsa area.
