One step closer....Project "Suprise" coming for OK board!

Ok Cowboy, now you are keeping all these wonderful, gorgeous, sexy ladies (and some guys too) on the edge of their seats!!! Congratulations of accomplishing all the pre-ops, as Glittery Kim says, it must be challenging to get this done from out of town, but, I am sure you will get that surgery date in no time. Wow, you're going to be here quickly. I hope you have a great trip and I hope our weather cooperates for your stay here. It's great to have all the tests out of the way! I wish you a safe and successful surgery and a speedy recovery!

Aaaaahhhh!!! How exciting that it's getting closer. Now I live closer to Tulsa, so it will be a drive for me, but we all should definately get together. Even if you are on liquids, what a big challenge for the group to support you and all order soup with you???!!! It would be a cheap dinner and such a nice way to show our love. Anyone up for it? lol Anyway, how cool. Wait till you're back to this "lovely" oklahoma weather. Adios amigo,  Joni

I'm always up for an all soup dinner to show support.  I think it might be something we should start doing on a regular basis.  I know a lot of people just stay home while they are on liquids, etc.  I didn't-but I would have loved someone to eat soup with.

In fact, I won't hijack the thread, but getting together with other WLS is a great way to get used to eating out in the world again, which for me, was something I struggled with.   I did it, but it took me forever to be able to enjoy eating out with other people again.

I'm going to be in Florida over the week of the 4th of July, but around before and after-so anyone who wants to get their soup on give me a shout.

ahhhh cowboy your missing our eat meet and greet in tulsa this month.. we are doing it on the 18th.. darn.. now i wish we had scheduled it a week later! have a safe trip..

Ok I will be happy to plan the "Welcome Back To Oklahoma Cowboy Dinner"  or the "Welcome To The Journey Of Your Lifetime Cowboy" dinner, whatever we want to call it. But I need some details.  Your flying in June 22 and I guess you'll have some pre-op stuff to do.  Are you going to be in Tulsa with family part of the time?  We'll need to figure out a date first.  I do have a date conflict since I'll be gone June 24-29 celebrating HappyCat's BIG birthday in Santa Fe.  (Did I say BIG?  It ends in a zero - I'll let you guess the decade!)  And we want to do it before your surgery, I think.  Unless you're doing that pretty soon after you get here?  Needs some details, COF!

Well I can't wait!  I will be in Tulsa for part of the time but planning on being in OKC for a week's duration.  So plenty of time to be able to meet lotsa local people!  I'm soooo looking forward to some movies, or some 1st week "liquid" lunches.  You guys are so awesome, I'm sure that I'm gonna be able to have friends for life out of this situation. I'm so happy that I've got such a WONDERFUL support network of friends that  I'll cherish! So basically, I'll be in Oklahoma from the 21st and staying for about a month!  I'll let everyone know what my suprise is once I get my date set by Dr. B's office! Thanks again to everyone who has tried to make my transition to understand more of the process of what's gonna happen to me after this thing is complete! T.
