One step closer....Project "Suprise" coming for OK board!
Well my friends...
I'm one step closer! I've finished ALL of my prerequisites for WLS for Dr. Broussard's office. I've got my last report going into the Doc on Monday, so I'm hoping to hear about a quick surgery date so I can get planned and prepared!
I'm planning on being back in Oklahoma from the 22'nd to August 1st(ish). So I planon meeting LOTS of people and making long time friendships!
I'm working on a HUGE suprise for the Oklahoma board but I can't give the details until after my surgery, but it's a once in a lifetime opportunity for some of the people I become friends with!
So for those of you who will be talking to Dr. Broussard, let him know that you've been talking to the fella from the Virgin Islands and he'll know who you're talking about! So looks like I'm gonna be chatting with Jamie England for the dates to get on the table and get to operating!
So hey, i hope the gang has an AWESOME weekend! I feel very lucky to have found such terrific group of people to help me get through the rough stuff!!!
Later gaters!
T.
You are one evil dude Cowboy!!! You KNOW that will make everyone's mouth's water here!!!
Hmmm... I think I might be seeing Toby tomorrow morning!! I'll just have to mention you EARLY!!
Toby is the greatest doc in the world (next to Dr W of course!!) but I would take either of them any time any day for anything!!!
We'll have to watch for your surgery date too and plan to have you so visited you won't know what to do!!
I am glad your pre-op testing is complete - that is 90% of the battle!!
Hey KIMMIE!!! Back that truck up sista!!! LMAO!!!

Congrats! Looks like things are going well for you and I'm so glad to hear it. Don't you just love Dr. B? You'll find, like I have, that this board is a safe haven and a wonderful place to "fall" and let off steam. Can't even begin to tell you how much everyone here has helped me. Glad you're coming all this way and you've chosen WW. You won't be disappointed. It's the best care anywhere. I felt pampered in the hospital......if that's possible. LOL I'm a big fan of your current place of residence. Been to St. Thomas many, many times (in fact, my favorite little jeweler is there). But our favorite is St. John. Spent a wonderful week there with the kids. We wore nothing but pj's and swimsuits. It was heaven watching the hermit crabs crawl along the beach at Cinnamon bay and just chilaxing. You're a lucky dude. Looking forward to meeting you when you're here. Take care! Cindy
Oh Thomas! You are one clever little Cowboy whether you're on fire or not! These people are going to be wracking their brains trying to figure out the surprise! I love it!
I'm so pleased for you that you're getting all your duckies in a row. It's a good feeling, isn't it? I can't imagine how difficult it must be to plan all of this over such a long distance. I'm sure Dr. B is helping out. Ok, now which 22nd are you talking about? July 22 I assume?
We'll have to get together a few times while you're here but you won't be wanting to do dinner when you're on liquids. You'll have to take my word on this one!
Congrats on getting closer to "the table"! You have made a very wise choice in doctors and facilities. Too bad you aren't closer all the time to go to the support group meetings and to entertain us! LOL!
Happy to see your post! Kim
Glad you have all your stuff in order. I warn you it is a little surreal to actually get a surgery date. It seems like all we do to get that far consumes our thoughts and then- wham!, it becomes very real! Hang on to your pants you're starting one wild ride! And, welcome back to God's country once again.
