Pity party - table for 1 please!

Don't worry, it will come off eventually. I lost 25 lbs during the liquid stage and then my body slammed on the brakes. When I went for my 6 week post-op appt., I had only lost 5 lbs! I think my body went on strike also. Dr. B. said to be patient and try to up my water intake. So, this morning, I was down 3 lbs from yesterday. I think our bodies are so used to the years of food abuse, that it's in shock. Hang in there!
Kim,
Hang in there... you'll make it through this, unless your own ketosis breath causes you to pass out. I have never, ever in my life had it as bad as it is now. I have to carry at least two different flavors of gum with me everywhere because sometimes my breath will overpower the gum. It's horrible, but I know that it means we are burning fat, and I'm all for that!
I have been watching my paper daily, and have seen no reports of any domestic murders in your part of town, so I assume Mr. D is still surviving your liquid phase. I think you should consider it a huge accomplishment to have progressed so far without causing blood shed! Hang in there, the mushies are coming in just a few more days. I think once you start eating and your body catches up you'll start dropping those pounds like hot rocks.
It really sucks for your scale to stop moving. Mine has been in the same place for almost two weeks now... I'm trying to buck up and grin and bear it . I thought I was doing fairly well with that until I overheard my wife on the phone last night telling her friend (also a WLS survivor) that I had gotten pretty *****y over the last few days - oops.
I've started tracking all my food, water, and stuff on www.thedailyplate.com . It seems to be working pretty well. I just want to be able to show Dr. Walton and Jess what I've actually been doing in case (god forbid) this stall is still hanging around when I go back to see them in a couple of weeks.
I'll be thinking good thoughts for you! I was hoping to get to see everyone tonight, but it looks like the weather is not going to move into town in time to cancel my Little League appointment. Unless something changes there, I won't make it tonight. I know y'all will have a great time - even without me. Maybe by next month my scale will start going again and I really will need a name tag for the meeting!
Keep the faith! You will be successful with your new anatomy!
