Beware of Deviled Eggs

Just made some, and the filling tasted so good.  So I continued filling my half egg whites, sit down with one and started my nibbling.  I didn't even get half way through it before.   And during the muchie stage I couldn't eat scrabbled eggs.  I can eat the yolk, just not any of the white.  Where the protein is (go figure)

That really bites!  Eggs have become a comfort food for me.  Deviled eggs have become my new candy.  Do any meats bother you?  I can't eat shrimp or anything like it.  I really have a hard time with a lot of meat in general, unless it's sandwich meat.

I can eat fish and chicken.  Hamburger and seafood so far are a no go.  Shrimp has a tendancy to not compress when I chew it.  Hamburger goes down, just doesnt stay there.  I eat a lot salmon cups.  It has to be skinless and boneless.  One of my favorite things is the southern fried chicken sand at McD.   No bread of course.  My new candy has turned out to be cheetos.

Step away from the Cheetos!!  They are evil carbs!  Sorry you've had some problems and barfed.  That is so not fun!  I was looking forward to deviled eggs. Keep on keepin on, girlie! Kim

Cheetohs are evil?  Oh no!  When I was reading about cheetohs being the new candy, I thought well, that does sound good!  But I don't think that would be what Dr. Walton meant today about me eating less.  What are salmon cups?  I'm always on the look out for new protein ideas!

You know I probably shouldn't say this cause I'll probably jinx myself.... But, I can eat ANYTHING and it doesn't make me sick.  Which is probably not a good thing.  I don't like bread, tortilla's, cereal, things like that anymore, but I still have a mad affection for pasta!  Probably cause I am part Italian......... I mean don't get me wrong, if I over eat and pu**** too far, I will get very nauseated. But so far so good on any !  And I know I wasn't supposed to but I started eating whatever at 3 weeks out.  Guess I was VERY lucky.  Dr. Walton would of killed me.  It is funny how some days you can eat one thing and then the next time it makes you feel yucky, but my nut said this will be common for the 1st 6 months, so maybe you could carefully and slowly try that again.  I love deviled eggs!!!!!!!! Good luck sweets!                              Jenn

Nothing makes me physically get ill either, although I do get naseaus(sp?).  But that even happens when I'm just drinking water.  Pasta and breads are my weakness. (and I'm not italian, so I can imagine how you feel!)  So far I've been good except for a hot dog bun on Memorial day, but the cravings are still happening big time.  I've always heard that if you go without for two weeks or so it breaks your addiction, but no such luck here.  Guess I'll be fighting these cravings forever!  Like Jenn said, maybe you could give the deviled eggs another try in a few weeks? Salmon cups are just little individual cups of salmon.  They sell it at any WM or other grocery store right by the tuna.  I like them b/c they are just the right size, and they have 15 grams of protein.  Plus i have always like salmon.   Cravings?????????? I don't ever crave anything.  I eat just because I have to now.  I havent got hungery since my surgery.  But the thought of eating bread or pasta, just makes me feel like something is stuck.

I am a big fan of the salmon cups too.  Are you sure you are chewing enough?  Even eggs need a lot of chewing.

Deviled eggs are great, but I can't find my mom's recipe, so they don't taste right.
