Ok, so my husband half heartedly planted a garden a little over a month ago and kind of forgot about it.  In the process, out of 20 rows of stuff, one row of sweet peas, corn, squash, and cantelope, and one lima bean plant came up.  They were trying to thrive but because of his lack of weeding, they were starting to choke.  So, for the last three days, I have done nothing but weed completely the whole thing, in and around the stuff that was already growing, putting up a trellis for the peas, and such.  After weeding it all, I finally pulled out the stupid roto tiller and mulched thru all the rest.  I made all my new rows and planted new seed to include tomatoes, pickling cucumbers, jalapenos, red hot peppers, more corn and leeks.  I have never done a garden before but it feels like such an accomplishment.  Now I just have to wait two weeks to see anything start growing, aside from the other stuff that is already.   So now the problem is that every muscle in my body hurts and I have been taking tylenol but it doesnt seem to be working.  Even my bum hurts....

Ouch! How about trying a cool heating pad on it? All the docs agree ice the first 24-72 hours then heat.  Ben-Gay or something like that might work, too. Tylenol makes me nice and sleepy these days. I wish I had a good remedy for it. At least, it sounds like you have a great garden..and I need to come shopping there! LOL I'll try the Farmer's Market on Saturday this week.

I miss really good Farmer's Markets....wish we had some close by to where I am.  I am from Alaska but lived a while in Washington and of course a few other places (military) but this is the first place that I have lived that didnt have one.  I have to drive a distance to get to one.  I miss all the fresh berries, used to make alot of jam every summer.  I have to get ready though for that 3 acres that my husband plans on buying in North Carolina this next year.   I dont think they make a heating pad or ice pad big enough to cover my whole body....there is not one place on me that doesnt hurt. lol

How about a nice warm bath?  I've heard that vitamin E helps with sore muscles also. Denise
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

Wow you are doing great planting like that...as for the sore muscles and tylenol, all I can say is hot baths and time...
being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it

Keihl's (I think that,s how you spell it) has a shower gel and bath oil that is wonderful for aches. I think is's juniper scented but it really soothes your muscles. I've also been to some health food stores and gotten some good lotions. What about a massage? donna
