Post-oper's and poopieeee
I was lucky if i was going more than once a week once I started eating solids. Talked to a girlfriend of mine who had surgery 10 years ago and she suggested Papaya Enzyme (can get at gnc for super cheap...also i think walmart) I asked my doc about it and he said that is fine to take. I have had no problems since taking it and I am about as regular as you can be if you count every 2 days...which is alot better than barely once a week....
By the way, Papaya Enzyme supposedly is a digestive enzyme that helps to ease digestion. It seems to help me...

Roughage. Once I started eating salads, I'm more regular now. The calcium was killing me (locked me up every time). So, I switched to powdered UpCal-D calcium. That and the roughage helped and increasing my water.
As a just in case measure, I have my friend Fleet waiting in the wings..suppositories, etc.
A family member is on constant pain medication for a severe situation and the GI specialist recommended Miralax daily, as well as extra fiber and a stool softener. Miralax isn't a laxative like most are and it isn't addictive ... also healthy long term and isn't harsh at all. The family member is regular as clockwork daily now and everything is*easy*. Good Luck!
