Ruth!
You almost got a phone call at around 6 30 this morning from me. I was laying in bed, sleeping, which I really like to do, especially that early, and I was woken up by the most horrible stabbing pain in my stomach and right inside my chest, and went all the way around to my back. It hurt like the dickens. The only reason you didn't get a call is because luckily my mom has today off and she was home, so I asked her what she thought it was, because of course, the first thing that came to my mind was that something had gone wrong with my surgery. She said it sounded like a gas bubble, and told me to walk around a little and take a gas ex strip. All I can say is thank God for having a mom who is a nurse. I took the gas ex and almost instantly I was burping and I started feeling better. So you own my mom a thank you
Anyways, now that that drama is over, I figured I'd ask you another question. It may be a little too much info, but oh well. My bowel movements have finally gotten back on track, but it hurts when it happens and after, should I get a stool softener?
Thank Ruth, or anyone else that might have any info!
Oh, and I put new pics up, almost 4 weeks out!
Tell your Mom thanks!!! I'm not Ruth but if you had called me at 0630 this morning I would not have been happy LOL. It probably was just a gas pain. however keep an eye on it. I would definately get a stool softener. I use a generic brand that I get at Sam's and they work okay. It can be a real royal pain in the ass, right? LOL LOL I love your pics, you are doing so good. Rita
the pix look great Michelle! well, 630 in the morning i agree would not have been very sweet (like normal!) yes, it sounds like a gas bubble and yes i would get a stool softener too.
see - you got the answers from all over!!
trust in your surgery. there is very little that can happen physically at this point while you are sleeping!
