Welcome Cheryl!.  You will love this group of people.  They are so awesome and supportive.  We have a lot of fun as well.  You know....we're just a bunch of "LOOSERS" and you will be soon as well.  You will be treated like you are somebody special at WeightWise from the time you first walk through the front door, to billing, to the surgical nurses, staff and EVERYONE.  It was by far the best experience I've ever had with hospitals, doctors and nurses.  Hopefully we'll get to meet sometime.  I have a nephew who is a surgeon in Amarillo so I know the way there!  Take care and be careful.   I was also a "self-pay" even though I have already saved by insurance company a lot of money.  No insulin since the day of surgery....wooohooo!!!  I've eliminated other medications as well.  I feel so much better and like you said the retirement money is not worth much if we're not around or our health is gone!  One thing about it you will have a large medical deduction on our income tax after the first of the year so you just might get a portion of it back.  Be sure to keep track of your mileage to and from as well....it's also deductible for medical...and your hotel/motel stays are as well I believe while you might be in Edmond.  Take care!  Debbie

Cheryl, I would like to say "welcome" to the Oklahoma board.  I also would like to say that I completely agree with you about getting online and reading posts.  Even though the Oklahoma forum doesnt seem to be as active as some of the main boards, everyone on here seems really nice, supportive, and full of information.  I find myself, most morning, wanting to come on here before I even check my email, which is unusal for me.  Though I havent met anyone on here yet in person, I know I would like to attend some of the functions soon so I can put faces to names and such.
