MOTELS

I AM LOOKING FOR SUGGESTIONS ON A GOOD MOTEL TO STAY AT WHEN I COME TO EDMOND FOR DR APPT. I HAVE SEVERAL APPTS IN 2 DAYS AND INSTEAD OF DRIVING BACK AND FORTH FROM MCALESTER I AM GOING TO SPEND THE NIGHT. HAS ANYONE STAYED IN LOCAL MOTELS CLOSE TO THE HOSPITAL AND WHAT WERE THE RATES LIKE. THANKS FOR ALL HELP

There are quite a few good ones in Edmond. Do a search on Travelocity for Edmond, OK and hotels within a 10 mile radius. I always look there first then go directly to the hotel site to compare prices. There are a lot of new ones around Quail Springs Mall (SE of Edmond) area right off of the Kilpatrick Turnpike. Everything from LaQuinta to Holiday Inn Express. Lots of good restaurants close too. If you're looking for totally budget, I think there is a Motel 6 on I35 and 122nd street (SW of Edmond). You would have a 10-15 minute drive to the Dr. depending on traffic from any of these places. Hope this helps. Cindy

I have a customer who owns the Edmond Sleep Inn.  It is a very nice "choice hotel" and is located very close to the hospital there for you.  The address is 3608 S. Broadway Extension (near 15th), Edmond, OK   - telephone number 405-844-3000.  There are many others around Edmond and the interstates but this one is the closest for you and it is a top rated hotel.  I wish you lots of luck and I sure don't blame you for staying over.  Gas is so expensive and you would spend so much time and money traveling!  Debbie

I used to stay at that Sleep Inn all the time when I came to Edmond to work at the Lowe's store.  It is very nice and very well ran.  Highly recommend it (and all other Choice Hotels for that matter...since I am a card carrying Choice member)

I dont have any suggestions on the motels, but wanted to comment that I live in McAlester too.

THAT IS SO COOL! I KNOW A COUPLE OF PEOPLE THAT ARE TRYING TO HAVE SURGERY IN EDMOND AND SOME THAT HAVE HAD SURGERY IN TULSA. HOW IS YOURS GOING?
