Two Week Update
I saw Dr. B yesterday for my 2 week post op appointment. It was really only 10 days since surgery, but because of the holiday weekend, we did it early. Anyway, I've lost 14# since surgery 10 days ago. I was in shock. That's 29 since I started in mid March. That leaves me 5# to onederland. Haven't been that low since I was pregnant with daughter 12 years ago. He also cleared me to go ahead with next phase of diet. OMG I was over the moon. Had already prepared myself for a tough time a the lake this weekend. So far, I've had pintos and cheese and some scrambled eggs. No problem with either of them. Except eggs get cold before I'm done. Small price to pay I guess. It's nice to have substance and flavor back in my mouth! Was at 5th grade grad yesterday and several people commented on how thin (what's that??) my face looks. I'm noticing not only clothes getting big, but rings and shoes as well. Much to DH's dismay. LOL I'm on his laptop at the lake so I can't update my ticker yet, but will as soon as I can. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend. Be safe!! Cindy
Congratulations Cindy! I am going to be three weeks out on Monday and I know what you mean about getting some solid food back in your mouth. It is a great feeling. Hey - was that you at the diet class last week? I was over on the right hand side of the room - mostly asking dumb questions all the way through. Have a great weekend at the lake. By the 4th of July you may have be shopping for a new bikini before you head out to the lake! John
Thanks John! Yeah, that was probably me at the diet class. Jess kept referring to me not being able to start eating.....I think she was afraid I was going to dive head first into some pintos and cheeese. LOL You didn't ask any dumb questions. In fact, I remember thinking; Oh! Great question!. Shopping for a new bikini? Heck, the only bikini I've purchased recently is for my 11 year old daughter and I haven't had one on since I was about that age....But that's not to say there isn't one in my future for sure. Thanks for the encouagement! Have a wonderful and safe weekend!!!! Cindy
