Okay y'all, I'm not happy with everyone passing my butt up!  I'm ready to get my surgery!!!  I went through a few days of depression about having to move my surgery date.  I thought I was okay with it but then a few days later I got really down.   I woke up today and decided time to snap out of that.  On the positive side of things, they told me my incision would be healed up by today so that I could start doing the exercises they gave me PLUS 10 minutes on the bike!  Now that I can move my body, the weight should start coming off.  I've noticed I am walking around more at work too. My next appt at weightwise is Thursday.  I will meet with Cathy and hopefully get my date set for July 2nd.  Crossing fingers!!! -Amy

Amy - I am crossing my fingers for you too!  Congrats on the green light for exercise.  That will really help you on the pre-op weight loss.  The right attitude is everything isn't it?  We were talking about the big girl panties yesterday while we were walking.  We think that should become our little motto!  I told them all to remind me of that when I'm a week in to my post-op liquid diet!  I will try to maintain a no whining zone but I'm quite certain I'm not mature enough to handle that!  LOL! Let us know how your appointment goes on Thursday.  Cathy is a nice lady - you will like her! Have a super Sunday and I'm happy to hear from you! Kim

Amy: If it was on the 5th of July we could SHARE surgiversary dates!  But alas, that is a Saturday!! I am so glad you are doing better and have put yourself into a better mind frame!!  It takes a lot of self actualization to get us where we need to be.  When it is time, it is time and you cannot ru****!! When you feel up to it, don't forget our walking group on Saturday mornings!  R

I am so happy you posted!  I had been wondering how you were doing.  Hopefully you will get your requested date.  They accomodated my request and are doing me on a Friday.   I am thrilled your knee is better.  I had surgery on my knee some years ago and it was hard.  Rehabbing a knee requires persistance.  Don't forget to do your PT every day. Hopefully I will join the walking group soon.  I have to get school over and my surgery under my belt (pun intended! ) Don't forget the support group meeting in June.  The plastic surgeon will be speaking.  See you soon. Denise

Hi Amy - glad you are doing better and that you will be able to move around...even a little will make a big difference.  Don't forget.............don' t focus on the surgery date...focus on what you need to do to get there, take it one day at a time. This is for life, right? So, life starts now, not on surgery day-  Hugs, Anna ................  - You will do this, I know it!!

Yep, you are right.  This began on April 1st.  This is my life, ups and downs and all.  I'm trying to learn to appreciate the struggle and enjoy the journey.  This knee thing really threw me for a loop.  You know how right after you have a baby you think there is no way you are every gonna get pregnant again?  Then later on, you kind of forget (most) of the pain and all you went through?  Well, right after my knee surgery I was thinking there is no freakin way I can have surgery again right away.  Well, the longer I am out from the knee surgery the more I can visualize actually having another surgery.  I did my exercise just a while ago and I feel good!  I need to run to the store and get some more SF popsicles.  I hope buy for less has the tropical flavor ones.
