Pain...
OK - when I woke up yesterday I had this incredible pain just inside/beneath my left shoulder blade. I kept thinking I had just tweaked my back somehow and it would go away. Thanks to some of my remaining Lortab elixir, I had a good nights sleep last night, but when I woke up this morning it is still there...???
If I move just wrong, it hurts clear through to my chest, and my pinky and thumb go numb on me...
I'm really thinking I just screwed up my back, and it has nothing to do with my surgery, but wanted to see if anyone else had had anything similar. I have to be at WW for the diet class today, so plan on running down a Dr. or Cathy to see what they think as well.
Any ideas?

It actually sounds like a gas pain area if I recall. But then I didn't have gas pain there myself. Just hearing descriptions from SG.
Definitely trip someone at the Healthplex today in case they need to check anything.

John, I never had the gas pains so I can't really tell you if that is what it is. I didn't have the problem that you are describing either though. You definately need to ask someone at WW . Be prepared that sometimes with weight loss you will have alot of aches and pains due to your weight shifting. That has happened to me, and it just kinda comes and goes. Hope you feel better. Rita
I have some pinched nerves in my left leg due to the wight I have gained over the years. Now that it is melting off the "flames" are coming back cause the weight is shifting and making the nerves burn again. It really got to hurting BAD this monring walking around the brand new Wal-Mart in Glenpool. I hope all is okay with ya though bud.
I haven't had any shoulder pain yet, thank God, but I have had some lower back pain, which is normal for me, so I don't know what it could be. But I just wanted to let you know John, I had to re lace my tennis shoes today because they were about to fall off. They are still sliding around a little!!! Good things are yet to come!!!
Thanks everyone for your thoughts and comments.
I did get to talk with Dr. Walton yesterday, and he said that this far out from surgery, this pain was not his fault. He is so funny and has such a great personality with his patients.
Anyhow, he did say that I could have some Alleve. So, I went out and got some and it really did help more than the Tylenol or the Lortab had. I managed to make it through the ball game last night, and am feeling well enough today to go again.
Anyhow - I guess it was either something I did to my back, or Rita may be right that my body is trying to adjust to a new configuration, and that just takes a little time.
Thanks again, and have a great weekend.
John
